Alpine Garden

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder

For more than 60 years, Anton Fähndrich cared for the Alpinum of the Menzingen Institute, which originated from 1932. An estimated 4,500 plants, many of which are protected by law, thrive in an area of almost 200 m2. The collection, lovingly grouped together to form overall pictures, helps to preserve rare species through their seeds and cuttings. The garden lies on the Seminarstrasse, in front of the “Maria von Berg” retirement home.
