The Rossberg is a paradise for cyclists and mountain bikers. The route from the Zugerberg to the Wildspitz is a particular favourite among mountain bikers. Even with a road bike you can get to the very top. However, for the gentle ridge, it’s best to take a mountain bike or a gravel bike. The Spitzbüeltour, also known as Schweizmobil Bikeland Route no. 964, runs along the site of the Goldau landslide and is particularly impressive. In 1806, below the Gnipen, there was a huge landslide that buried Goldau and 460 people. The mountain still bears the scar of it today. If you ride your road bike or mountain bike up the Rossberg, you will be sharing the route with hikers for long stretches, so don't forget your bike bell or trail bell.
