Wildspitz

Walks and hikes

There are well-signposted hiking trails leading up to the Rossberg from Zug, Oberwil, Walchwil, Unterägeri, Sattel and Steinenberg. These routes range from easy to challenging and are suitable for different fitness levels. Once you reach the summit, you will see three peaks: the highest is the 1,579-metre Wildspitz, the next highest is the tree-covered Chaiserstock, measuring 1,426 metres, and then there’s the bare Gnipen, measuring 1,567 metres above sea level. The panoramic view from the Wildspitz is stunning. The lakes sparkle like diamonds between the hills: Lake Lauerz to the south, Lake Zug to the west and Lake Ägeri to the east. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Black Forest and the snowy Alps.
