Rotkreuz - Cham
the Zug area for culture lovers
Distance: approx. 11.5 km
Just a few steps away from the railway junction Rotkreuz, you will be pleasantly surprised by the Binzmühli pond, a protected nature area with an old mill. Afterwards it’s a leisurely walk through an idyllic countryside passing by beautiful and lovingly decorated farms through the cool Lowald forest until you reach the castle ruins of the Lords of Hünenberg (destroyed in 1386 by the confederates). A nice barbecue area invites you to take some time to enjoy and relax. The walk continues past the vineyard chapel and Wart restaurant and onto the cultural highlight of this walk – the late Gothic church St. Wolfgang with the famous sacrament house.
