Alpine Panorama Trail 10: Zug – Lucerne

EN

The Alpine Panorama Trail, which runs from Lake Constance to Lake Geneva, promises spectacular views of the Alpine peaks and the rolling hills of the Zug region.

Mount Pilatus towers over Lucerne. Lucerne's old town and the quay are in the foreground.

The hike leads from Lake Zug through the Lucerne hinterland to Lake Viewaldstätt. The view of the Rigi, the “Queen of the Mountains,” and Mount Pilatus makes time fly by. A highlight is the Michaelskreuz, with its panoramic views, inn, and wedding chapel. This has always been a place where heaven and earth meet, where people find themselves and draw strength, where the heart finds openness and the soul finds relaxation. After this stop, you’ll have plenty of energy left for the second half of the hike to Lucerne.
