Räbe Fasnacht

It is said that the favorite food of the men of Baar was the beet. They also liked to drink Räbe-Most. It is therefore obvious that they were called "Räbe-Manne" and all the more understandable that the Baar carnival, founded in 1943, was christened Räbefasnacht.

The Räbe is still omnipresent at the Baar carnival with the Räbegäuggel, the Räbechüng and the carnival song RäbediBum. The main figures of the Baar carnival, the Räbevater and his entourage, can be traced back to the graphic artist Geny Hotz and his wife, who designed the figures along with the costumes.
