The city of Zug has held market rights since the Middle Ages. Since then, markets have been held regularly on Landgemeindeplatz. At these colorful weekly markets, you’ll find fresh vegetables and sweet fruits from the region, local cheeses, flowers, and other fresh produce. The absolute highlight of the market season is the annual Chriesimärt, which transforms Zug into a widely renowned cherry stronghold for two to three weeks in June.
