In 2025, the Arth-Rigi Railway will celebrate its 150th anniversary.
The special exhibition on May 17 and 18, 2025, at the Old Town Hall in Gersau will highlight the early days of tourism and the construction of the steam railway line.
During the anniversary weekends (August 30–31 and September 6–7, 2025), a section of track will be set up at Rigi Scheidegg and operated by a steam locomotive. A varied program of events will round out the experience.
