This route leads across lush meadows with magnificent views over Lake Zug and the city. On a sunny day, it is the perfect way to end the evening, away from hot temperatures.

Green pasture fever

From Schmidtli, it's a 20-minute walk up to Alpwirtschaft Brunegg, where the Stanzer is already waiting to be used. The restaurant with its regional specialties is definitely worth a visit. The route continues across moorland, green meadows and a short section in the forest down to St. Verena Chapel. The baroque building was constructed between 1705 and 1710 on the former steep mountain path to Ägeri. According to the motto: "You can always get down", the route now continues downhill, becoming more and more urban, until you finally end up in Zug on the edge of the old town. Why not dangle your feet in the lake and enjoy the sunset with a refreshing drink?
