It was the intellectual agility of inventors, innovators and explorers that made people as mobile as they are today. The fascinating history of transport and its vehicles as well as their socio-political impact on our culture are the core themes of the museum at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne.
Swiss Chocolate Adventure
The Swiss Chocolate Adventure shows how the famous Swiss chocolate is made from cocoa beans from Ghana. Visitors can find out everything they need to know about the discovery, origin, production and transportation of the sweet treat on a multimedia journey of discovery. See, hear, smell and taste: All the senses are addressed in various themed islands, which are navigated by special trolleys in the shape of chocolates.
In the Lindt Boutique in the Swiss Museum of Transport store, visitors can watch a master chocolatier making the sweet creations live. In addition, three tastings are held every afternoon, during which the different varieties of Swiss chocolate are presented.
