In addition, the EVZ is an innovative sports organization with approximately 120 full-time employees and 500 part-time employees in the areas of sports, management, youth development, and food service. With 14 youth teams and its in-house training program, “The Hockey Academy,” the EVZ is committed to sustainable, long-term youth development and has had its own farm team in the Swiss League since 2016. The EVZ’s first team has played continuously in Switzerland’s top league since 1987 and won its first Swiss championship title in 1998, the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup in 2019, and its fourth runner-up title.
In 2010, the EVZ’s new stadium, the BOSSARD Arena in Zug, opened its doors.
