"City, Country, River" is the perfect description for this first-class jogging route.
This route is undoubtedly one of the most popular running routes in Zug. It is characterized by its flat terrain with minimal elevation changes, which allows runners to maintain a steady pace. Starting at Bundesplatz, the loop runs along Lake Zug through the Neustadt district. Along the way, you’ll pass the harbor, the Bad Chamer footpath, and follow the railroad tracks for a short stretch. At the campground, the scenery changes, and the paved road gives way to a picturesque trail. The next kilometer takes you through the Choller Nature Reserve, which lies directly on the lakeshore. Here you’ll reach the Alte Lorze and cross it via a wooden bridge before turning north and jogging slowly but surely back into the hustle and bustle of the city.
