The Cherry Blossom Hike begins and ends conveniently at the Oberägeri, Grund bus stop and winds through the rolling hills of the Ägeri Valley. Within just a few minutes, hikers find themselves immersed in a peaceful, natural setting characterized by meadows, forests, and traditional farms.
A special highlight of the route is the area around Hintertann: Here, numerous cherry trees stand in full bloom in the spring, bathing the landscape in a delicate white hue. The so-called “Chriesi” have a long tradition in the region and continue to shape the landscape and local culture to this day.
In addition to the impressive orchards, the hike offers beautiful views of the Ägeri Valley and the surrounding mountains at every turn. The peacefully situated Hintertann farm, at about 1,000 meters above sea level, invites you to pause for a moment and enjoy the alpine surroundings.
