And the climb up the mountain, which is small by Swiss standards, is a tough one. No matter where you start your tour, the Rossberg always has a sweat-inducing passage in store for you. All the more reason to enjoy the magnificent view from the highest point, the Wildspitz.
The landslide is also impressive. Every year on September 2, at five o'clock in the afternoon, the large bell of Goldau parish church rings. This commemorates the terrible natural disaster of 1806. Within a few minutes, a gigantic mass of rubble buried the valley between the Rigi and Rossberg mountains.
