Zug’s Old Town looks back on 800 years of history. Few other Swiss cities boast a comparable collection of buildings constructed during the Middle Ages. Every era has left its mark, and as a result, the Old Town is rich in sights. The most famous is undoubtedly the 52-meter-high Zytturm, which was once part of the city wall and served as the fortified entrance to the old town.
